This Web site brings together resources and information to help churches in this area to run their Awana Clubs ministry more effectively.

Gold Standard Award Questionnaire - The purpose of this questionnaire is to help assist you in evaluating the effectiveness of your Awana Club ministry for the past year. This is meant to be a positive tool in order to help you evaluate and improve your Awana ministry. By looking at the various aspects of your Awana Club, as outlined below, you can determine the areas that need strengthening this upcoming year. Churches that "meet the goal" will be recognized at our Fall Leadership Training Conference. Will you be one of them?

Commander College 101 - A deeply devoted leader is a primary factor in the success of any ministry, including Awana. As a commander, you are called to understand the intricacies of the program and how it fits the needs of your church. Our desire is to help you do just that! The first step is Commander College 101, which is coming to your area on July 17-19 at West Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, KS. Check out the Commander College flyer or the online registration for more information...

Returning Hearts Celebration: a Day for Families, a Memory for All Time -- Returning Hearts Celebration is part of an extraordinary ministry, Awana Lifeline, that unites children for an unforgettable day with their incarcerated dads on prison grounds. They enjoy games, prizes, food, laughter, and Bible teaching while learning about a Savior who offers freedom from sin and the cycle of crime that many times exists in families for generations. It is a time when fathers who may not have seen their children in years can ask for forgiveness and begin reconciliation with their daughters and sons. For many, it is an opportunity to share the Gospel with their children. [Awana LifeLine Promotional Flyer]

Returning Hearts Celebration has touched the lives of several hundred inmate dads, 1,200 children and countless volunteers. This great day of renewal is only possible with your help. [Volunteer application]

Awana Ministry Conference - The 2008 Awana Ministry Conference locations and dates have been released! This one-day event will train, encourage and inspire Awana volunteers, pastors, Sunday school teachers, youth workers and parents. This conference will feature general sessions and workshops that provide ideas, instruction and inspiration to help everyone grow in his specific roles. In 2008, the Awana Ministry Conference focuses on service — building pastors, children's ministry workers, youth leaders and parents into more powerful servants. In one day, we will ignite a passion for ministry with a variety of practical workshops. Choose the ones that are most relevant to you. You will immediately use the skills you learn to reach kids and teens with the gospel. Our local conferences will be held on Saturday, August 23rd (First Southern Baptist in Topeka), September 13th (Lenexa Baptist - Kansas City), and September 20th (Calvary Baptist - Republic) so mark you calendars now! Our children and youth are ill-equipped for spiritual and moral challenges today – and for leading the home, church and community tomorrow. In fact, many will leave their faith behind after high school. Awana offers a solution. We are calling and equipping parents and churches to work together to raise kids who know, love and serve Christ. Inspired by the life of Joseph from the Old Testament, whose trust in God and character carried him through trials and temptations. [Read more...]
